Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary announced that the state government will soon introduce an AI policy to foster local development and establish Bihar as a national AI hub. Speaking on Saturday at the 'Bihar AI Summit 2026' in Patna, Mr. Choudhary highlighted the role of technology in the current communication revolution and encouraged youth to contribute innovative ideas. He cited the 1.2 billion mobile phone users in India as evidence of the country's technological shift under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

Beyond AI initiatives, the government detailed major infrastructure projects, including the 125-km-long Ganga Expressway, which is scheduled for completion within three years at a cost of ₹30,000 crore via a Public-Private Partnership model. Additionally, a 125-km four-lane expressway dubbed 'Vishwamitra Path' is planned to enhance connectivity between Patna and western Bihar. The Chief Minister also addressed migration, urging those working outside the state to return home, and pledged that the government would provide employment opportunities to discourage further relocation.

The summit was organized by the state's IT Department in collaboration with the Bihar Industries Association and Qlass EdTech. Key officials in attendance included Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, IT Minister Nitish Mishra, and Ankush Agrawal, founder of BharatGPT. Furthermore, the government announced support for students taking the NEET examination on June 21, promising free bus transport to examination centers.
