Virtual care and health navigation company Included Health launched a new artificial intelligence-powered tool, Provider Connect, on May 12, 2026, to assist members in finding in-network medical care. The platform utilizes a proprietary match engine to recommend best-fit providers based on clinical and cost data. According to the company, the engine is built on “tens of billions” of data points from millions of patients and incorporates more than 300 specialty-specific quality measures to generate recommendations and quality scores.
The new tool is integrated directly into the company’s existing AI assistant, Dot, which was originally released in December. The AI assistant functions as a chatbot to answer member questions regarding healthcare benefits and insurance coverage while facilitating the provider search process. Included Health works with employers and health plans, currently serving one-third of the Fortune 100.
Nupur Srivastava, the company's chief operating officer, stated that the tool aims to provide industry-rare transparency regarding provider quality. By optimizing the patient-provider match, the company expects to see improved healthcare outcomes and reduced costs. Early feedback from clients has been described as extremely positive, with stakeholders noting the potential for better control over downstream health effects.
