Recraft is an image generation AI startup founded in 2022 in London, UK, by Anna Veronika Dorogush, co-creator of the CatBoost machine learning library. The company has raised $42 million in total funding, including a $30 million Series B led by Accel in May 2025, and surpassed four million registered users. Specializing in brand-consistent design workflows, Recraft was the first API to generate editable vector (SVG) images for logos, icons, and illustrations that scale infinitely. Its Recraft V3 model, released in October 2024, ranked #1 on the Artificial Analysis image benchmark, surpassing Midjourney and OpenAI.
