D1 Ultra

D1 Ultra is the largest of Liquid AI's decision models: instead of writing text, it reads the text and images you give it and returns a yes/no answer, a choice from a list, or a score, each with a probability. Unlike the earlier D1, it can judge photos as well as text, and the company says it is much more accurate on questions that need general knowledge and that its probabilities better match how often it is right. Liquid AI aims it at harder real-world work, such as checking a photo of a circuit board against its specification or comparing an insurance claim with a customer's photo. Output is free, so one decision costs little, but each question is billed as if the whole input were read again, so asking several at once costs more. It cannot write free-form text or chat, its size and training are undisclosed, and it cannot be downloaded to run yourself.
