Anthropic plans to present its third-quarter financial results to institutional investors on Wednesday, October 14, CNBC reported, citing two people familiar with the confidential arrangements. The San Francisco-based developer of the Claude chatbot declined to comment. Bloomberg previously reported that Anthropic was organizing a pre-IPO investor meeting. The presentation is expected to give potential investors their first detailed look at the company’s quarterly performance as it prepares for a possible stock market debut.

People familiar with Anthropic’s plans said it is pursuing a listing that could value the company at approximately $2 trillion, supported by revenue projections that could exceed $100 billion by the end of 2026. The timing and final valuation remain uncertain. Anthropic reportedly filed confidential registration documents with the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year, but its S-1 financial statements have not been released publicly. Reuters has reported that the company could list in November, though people familiar with preparations have not confirmed a date.

The disclosure comes amid investor scrutiny of private AI companies’ revenue, profitability and financing needs. Last week, confusion over OpenAI revenue reporting coincided with declines in major semiconductor companies and weighed on the Nasdaq. OpenAI reportedly gave existing investors an updated revenue figure of $50 billion, below the previously circulated $70 billion. A person familiar with the accounting changes said the difference reflected exclusion of revenue attributed to cloud partners, not weaker customer demand. Investors will watch whether Anthropic counts partner revenue similarly, since differing accounting methods could complicate comparisons. They are also expected to examine profitability and the high costs of training and operating AI models. Rising interest rates could raise borrowing costs for data center expansions; Broadcom CEO Hock Tan warned Monday that access to capital could become the industry’s biggest constraint as rates climb.
