  • •App Store submissions open in the spring, ahead of customer release in a few months; Siri AI supports six languages.

Apple opened a Developer Preview on November 3, 2026, letting any developer connect an app to Siri AI through App Intents in the iOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and visionOS 27.3 betas. Apple says the preview gives developers an early look at ways to make apps discoverable and usable through Siri before customer release in a few months. App Store submissions are set to open in the spring.

Developers can expose app content and custom actions to Siri AI, including checking a delivery, booking a reservation and placing an order. For complex requests, Apple is introducing skills that let developers teach Siri to combine several actions into one experience. Siri can also surface any entity in the Spotlight semantic index, rather than only entities matching an existing schema. Apple says Siri AI supports personal context understanding, onscreen awareness and natural language.

Apple says thousands of developers have already built Siri integrations for tasks such as getting directions, managing to-do lists, sending messages and listening to audiobooks. The company has begun rolling the new capabilities into Calendar, Files, Finder, Journal, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Preview, Reminders, Safari, Shortcuts and Weather. Examples include finding a coffee shop visited last week and archiving files not opened in over a year.

Siri AI is available in English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, with Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese planned next. The beta requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language; some features may be unavailable by region or language. Siri AI is currently unavailable in the EU on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, and unavailable to users under 13. Apple says it is working with the EU to find a path forward. Server-based Apple Intelligence features, including Siri AI, have daily usage limits that vary with feature, request complexity, system demand and policies; expanded access will be offered for a fee in the future. Apple invited developers to discuss the APIs with engineers at Apple Intelligence Group Labs on November 4–5.
