Arena Adds Connectors to Agent Mode
- •Arena launches more than 10 free connectors in Agent Mode for logged-in users
- •Connectors include Gmail, Google Drive, Linear, Notion, GitHub and Google Calendar
- •Users control per-turn access; Arena says connectors follow existing Agent Mode safeguards
Arena announced Connectors in Agent Mode on October 27, 2026, making more than 10 services available to logged-in users at arena.ai/agent. The connectors are free to use and let the agent read information from connected services and take actions there using the permissions granted by the user. Featured services include Vercel, Supabase, Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Workspace, Linear, Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion and GitHub.
Arena says connectors are intended to bring task context—such as project tickets, specifications, customer emails and calendar meetings—into Agent Mode without manual copying between tabs. The GitHub connector, which Arena says it shipped in August, had already let the agent clone repositories, review changes, commit and open pull requests. Arena says it will add more services over the coming months.
The company gave examples of workflows spanning several connectors: an agent could read a Linear issue and a Notion design specification, change code in GitHub, open a pull request and post its link back to the issue and a Slack channel. For meeting preparation, it could gather a Google Calendar event, an agenda document in Drive and recent customer email threads from Gmail, then create a one-page brief. Other examples include drafting weekly updates as Notion pages from GitHub and Linear activity, turning a customer email into a draft reply and Linear issue with a calendar follow-up, and summarizing Drive and Dropbox files before drafting an email.
To use a connector, a person opens Agent Mode, selects a connector below the input box and signs in through that service’s OAuth flow. They can enable or disable it for each turn. Arena says the agent can access only services the user connected and enabled, and only within the permissions granted; no information is loaded in the background. The agent loads only the tool definitions needed for a task, which Arena says prevents additional connectors from slowing it down or crowding the conversation. If a service is unavailable or requires reconnection, the agent notifies the user and continues with the rest of the task. Connector results follow the same data-loss-prevention and output moderation policies as other Agent Mode activity.
