FuriosaAI said on October 29, 2026, that it completed an 820 billion won Series D round, valuing the company at about 3.8 trillion won. It plans to use the proceeds to expand global commercialization of its second-generation AI chip, Renegade (RNGD), and develop a third-generation AI accelerator in partnership with Broadcom.

FuriosaAI began fundraising in January with a target of 450 billion to 750 billion won, and said interest from domestic and international investors helped the final amount exceed that range. The National Growth Fund invested 370 billion won, making it the round’s largest investor. Among overseas investors, US-based Infinitum participated with the largest investment; Singapore’s QUDA Capital Partners and Cisco Investments also joined the round.

Follow-on investments from existing shareholders totaled 170 billion won. The Korea Development Bank added 30 billion won, while seed investors Naver, DSC Investment and KDB Capital also took part. Nextrans invested 48 billion won, the largest follow-on amount among existing shareholders.

Korean financial institutions also made new investments. The Export-Import Bank of Korea selected FuriosaAI as its first direct investment in a venture company since the bank was founded. UAMCO invested 40 billion won, the largest amount among new domestic investors. FuriosaAI said it would use the funds to expand global sales of its second-generation chip and work with Broadcom on the third-generation accelerator.

The reported investor amounts included 370 billion won from the National Growth Fund, 170 billion won in follow-on investments from existing shareholders, 30 billion won from the Korea Development Bank, 48 billion won from Nextrans and 40 billion won from UAMCO. The company’s stated uses for the proceeds are RNGD’s global commercialization and development of the third-generation accelerator with Broadcom.

Domestic and overseas investors joined the round, with the National Growth Fund as the largest investor. US-based Infinitum and Singapore’s QUDA Capital Partners and Cisco Investments also participated, alongside existing shareholders and Korean financial institutions.
