Google announced on October 28, 2026, that the Gemini app now offers a library of immersive explorations, interactive visual experiences that let users explore topics layer by layer, from microscopic systems to deep space. Users can open the library in the Gemini student hub by selecting “Try immersive explorations.” Google says direct access within Gemini chat conversations will be available soon.
Scenes include tracing Silk Road trade routes, looking inside a jet engine and studying the physics of lightning. Users can tap labels to explore layers from planetary scales down to molecules and atoms. Google says audio narration to guide users through each layer is planned.
The feature is available to all users in English, Indonesian, Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, French and simplified Chinese. Users in all other languages currently receive an English-only experience, and Google says more languages are coming soon.
