Harvey launched Intake, a legal request portal for in-house teams that routes incoming work to lawyers and uses AI agents to conduct an initial review. Early access is scheduled to begin this month. The product was developed with in-house legal groups at Carvana, GE Aerospace and Dentsu. Harvey said it already works with 1,600 in-house legal teams, including 5 of the Fortune 10.

Intake extends Harvey’s Contract Intelligence capability to handle requests, triage and initial contract reviews. It captures requests from tools employees already use, routes each to an agent, solution or lawyer, and returns an answer under the legal team’s rules. Harvey says the system can resolve routine requests and make a first pass on other work, so lawyers can focus on judgment rather than routing requests.

Seena Ghebleh, senior corporate counsel at Carvana, said Intake can apply the company’s playbook to contracts that arrive after hours or during meetings and prepare an initial review for her sign-off. Harvey Chief Legal Officer John LaBarre said the product gives employees one entry point for legal support and sends contract work to Contract Intelligence. He said this could give legal teams more capacity while keeping their judgment central, with faster answers, earlier risk guidance and more time to support the business.

Harvey and Legora both launched products called Intake for in-house legal teams in the same week; the article says Legora launched its version the previous day. The publication describes large corporate legal departments as a market pursued by legal AI companies, contract lifecycle management companies and firms that began by serving law firms. It says thousands of large legal teams operate globally and few have committed entirely to one legal platform. Harvey’s product adds automated first-pass contract review using legal teams’ existing playbooks. The publication sees further development of agent-based review as a direction for these tools, but does not report a specific future release or capability.
