Innovaccer and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have signed a multi-year strategic collaboration agreement to facilitate the deployment of agentic AI (autonomous systems that perform tasks towards a goal) at scale for health systems and payers. The partnership aims to resolve the gap between successful pilots and operational deployments by utilizing AWS infrastructure to manage security and compliance requirements. Innovaccer will integrate its healthcare-native context to ensure AI agents function effectively within daily clinical and administrative environments, with co-investment from both companies for customer success programs.

Houston Methodist has deployed HealthLeap, an AI-driven clinical screening platform designed to identify patients at risk of inadequate nutrition. The system monitors 100% of inpatients daily throughout their care journey. By enabling earlier interventions, the platform aims to reduce medical complications, prevent avoidable care delays, and shorten hospital stays. Michelle Stansbury, associate chief innovation officer and VP of IT applications at Houston Methodist, noted that the tool integrates directly into clinical workflows to assist care teams.

Invoca has launched an AI agent named Nico, designed to manage lead conversion through personalized communication. The solution processes inquiries from website forms, phone calls, and digital advertising, with data-driven personalization. University Hospitals in Cleveland reported that the tool recovered 25 appointments in its first night and appropriately redirected a patient seeking help within the facility. The agent is available through Invoca’s AI Messaging Agent and is currently in beta for its AI Voice Agent.

Mount Sinai Health System has partnered with Signal 1 to implement an AI management system (AMS) for overseeing its AI portfolio. The platform provides centralized intake workflows, automated monitoring, and reporting for deployed solutions, as well as tracking for return on investment. Robbie Freeman, chief digital transformation officer at Mount Sinai, stated that the system allows the hospital to manage its suite of tools—including generative AI and agent-based systems—while maintaining performance and safety oversight at scale.

OpenAI released GPT-5.5 Instant, a model update designed to enhance healthcare-focused capabilities. The update improves the model's ability to recognize urgent care needs, explain uncertainty, and translate complex health information for users. According to an announcement from June 18, 2026, the model was refined through reviews by over 260 physicians across 60 countries who evaluated more than 700,000 example responses.
