Honeywell Technologies is rolling out Forge Cognition, a platform that uses artificial intelligence agents to simulate facility operations and coordinate autonomous actions. The company said Wednesday that the platform was developed using Nvidia’s open-source AI models and Dell Technologies’ AI infrastructure. It combines digital twins (virtual representations of physical systems) with AI agents to simulate facilities and coordinate actions, Honeywell said.
Honeywell Chief Technology Officer Suresh Venkatarayalu said facilities require AI that understands how systems operate and interact, beyond a powerful AI model alone. The company is piloting Forge Cognition at its offices in Richardson, Texas, and Bangalore, India, as well as Nvidia’s Voyager campus in California.
Honeywell also plans to use the platform at Vanderbilt University, Dubai’s Fairmont Hotel, and Singapore’s NEX Mall. The article did not specify when these deployments would begin or provide performance results from the pilots. The rollout involves Honeywell, Nvidia, and Dell Technologies, with the named pilot sites spanning company offices, a university, a hotel, a shopping mall, and Nvidia’s campus. Honeywell said the system can simulate facility operations and coordinate autonomous actions; it did not describe specific tasks being automated or provide further details about the platform’s capabilities. The platform’s stated purpose is to model how facilities operate and coordinate actions through its AI agents and digital twins, with pilots underway at the named sites and further use planned at the university, hotel, and mall.
The announcement identifies Nvidia’s open-source AI models and Dell Technologies’ AI infrastructure as the technologies used to develop Forge Cognition. It does not name the models or infrastructure products, disclose a launch schedule, or report results from any pilot location.
