IFS, an industrial AI software company, launched IFS Intelligence on October 13, 2026, at its Unleashed 2026 conference in Orlando. The product brings context about assets, work orders, schedules, processes and history to manufacturing and physical operations systems.

IFS said IFS Intelligence can work from live data across its own IFS systems and third-party systems, collating data across operations and acting under governance and business rules set by the enterprise. The company aims to bring context across disparate systems in industrial settings, including people in the field, plant floors, rigs, manufacturing centers and offices, and deliver insights through one conversational interface. IFS Intelligence is available on all supported versions of IFS Cloud and is offered as a universal enterprise-wide license.

IFS CEO Mark Moffat said industrial organizations often operate at around 60% of their potential, and that the missing 40% already sits inside the business in the expertise of the control room, the knowledge of the night shift and data spread across systems. He said that generating ChatGPT-style answers is easy, while the hard part is putting that capability into the hands of workers and having them act on it safely inside a live operation. Moffat said IFS Intelligence aims to close that performance gap.

To complement IFS Intelligence, IFS outlined its Industrial AI Harness, designed to pull together context about inventory, production capacity, supply chain commitments, logistics and financial impacts and automatically surface risks. IFS Intelligence is powered by the Harness, whose components include planning and orchestration to coordinate agents and tools, skills and connectors, memory and context, guardrails and permissions, verification and escalation, and observability and auditability logs. The Harness works across all AI models and services, keeps data within the system of record, and increases autonomy step by step with governance at each stage.

Separately, IFS's Softeon unit launched Fulfillment Flow, which embeds intelligence throughout warehouse operations. It is a set of digital workers and AI agents for wave management, labor, automation, and inventory and replenishment, with humans kept in the loop. Moffat said the environment is volatile, noting high commodity costs, a brain drain of technicians and knowledge, and energy constraints, and said industrial AI must help close those gaps. He cited an estimate that the 500 largest companies in the world lose $1.4 trillion to unplanned downtime, and said the average worker spends about a third of their time with a tool in hand.
