LINE Yahoo began offering a meal-management agent through its AI agent service Agent i on October 28, 2026. The agent records meals, analyzes nutrition and gives advice on eating habits. Users can access it through Agent i or link a dedicated official LINE account to record and manage meals in LINE chat rooms.
When users send a meal photo or description, the AI analyzes its calories and nutrients. It uses the age, goals and eating habits entered during setup to offer advice for weight loss or health management. It can suggest dishes for a future meal and provide daily and weekly reviews that flag nutrients users may be lacking and foods they may want to avoid eating in excess.
Users can log meals with photos or simple text such as “eggs” or “bread.” The agent can refer to past entries, so users can write “same breakfast as yesterday” to record a meal. If users enter the name of a commercial product, the AI searches the web for calorie information and uses it in the log.
To get started, users open Agent i from its icon in a LINE tab and select “Meal Management.” They upload one meal photo and answer six questions to complete setup. Linking a dedicated official LINE account lets them register meals from the chat screen as well.
Agent i is a new brand for an AI agent that combines Yahoo! JAPAN’s AI Assistant and LINE’s LINE AI. LINE Yahoo plans to continue adding features and expanding its agents for different fields.
