Mirae Asset Securities said it is using AI assistants and investment services to improve internal efficiency and expand customer wealth management. It will redesign its mobile investment app, M-STOCK, as MAPS. Its long-term goal is an active wealth management system in which AI tracks market changes and proposes investment actions.

This year's AI goals are improving internal efficiency and expanding customer services. The unit under the Tech & AI division, responsible for governance, service planning and development, has about 40 employees. The company said it has achieved more than 85% of its plan for this year. Employees use the in-house AI platform to build assistants that answer questions about company rules and human resources, compare and analyze meeting minutes and work documents, and draft reports. When applying AI, business and IT teams review processes from start to finish and redesign how the work is done. The company also continues to assess projects developed and put into use this year.

In the second half of this year, Mirae Asset Securities established AI ethics and governance rules and added AI internal controls to company rules on information security, personal information protection and financial consumer protection. It distributed AI usage guidelines to all employees and applies guardrails—safeguards that limit a system's actions—to services. The AX Promotion Committee sets priorities for company-wide AI strategy projects, while the dedicated division handles data platform and architecture design, service planning and development. The company described AI as a core pillar of the group's mid- to long-term vision, “Mirae Asset 3.0.” Last October, Mirae Asset Group announced a vision for financial innovation through the convergence of traditional and digital assets. At that time, Mirae Asset Securities reorganized its Tech & AI division as a dedicated new technology unit to build strength in AI and digital assets.

Last month, Mirae Asset Securities said it would rename its mobile trading system, M-STOCK, MAPS and redesign it as an integrated, portfolio-centered investment platform. MAPS stands for “Mirae Asset Portfolio Service.” It is designed to help users check their assets, review their investment direction and proceed to actual investments. The platform aims to move beyond checking prices and placing orders to help users understand market trends and their portfolios and make their next investment decisions. Its home screen will have “Discover” and “My Investments” tabs. The Discover tab will show market trends, major indexes, leading stocks, ETFs and financial products. The company has also introduced MarketNow, an AI service that summarizes intraday market movements in one sentence every two hours.

Mirae Asset Securities plans to build “AI Everywhere” into MAPS, with AI operating across the investment journey, and extend its use to consultation and work assistants, automated-order agents, and portfolio diagnosis and analysis. It also plans to bring existing services—including robo-advisory, wealth tech, wrap accounts, MP subscriptions and recurring stock purchases—together in one place. Its long-term goal, “Agentic WM,” is a system in which AI detects market changes and proposes investment actions based on a user's goals and constraints. The company said users would retain control over important investment decisions and execution. It envisions a dedicated AI agent and professional adviser managing assets as a team, even when users are not logged into the app. Mirae Asset Securities says AI can cut time spent on manual tasks such as entering and organizing information, cross-checking documents and drafting reports, improving efficiency. It also said it aims to complete a model integrating traditional and digital assets for active wealth management that surpasses Robinhood's innovation.
