Naver Recasts Ad Center as Naver Ads
  • •Naver added AI advertising-agent features as it revamped its advertiser center into Naver Ads.
  • •Custom recommendations suggest campaign improvements, while Ads Assistant diagnoses why ads are not being shown.
  • •First Ad Guide walks new advertisers through setup and performance checks on a dashboard.

Naver said on November 5 that it had revamped its advertiser center as Naver Ads, adding AI-based advertising-agent features. Advertisers previously set up and managed campaigns themselves; the revamped system adds AI performance analysis, recommendations for improvements and help carrying them out. The company also aimed to make the service easier for small businesses with limited advertising experience.

The Custom Recommendations feature analyzes and diagnoses campaign status, then suggests actions to improve ad performance. Advertisers receive alerts through Naver TalkTalk and text messages, and can review the diagnosis, proposed solutions and expected results on a mobile screen before applying suggestions. Naver also introduced Ads Assistant, which explains why an ad is not being shown and how to address the issue.

Ads Assistant checks ad settings. It is being applied to search ads first, with support planned to expand in stages. First Ad Guide, for people starting to advertise, displays each step and the required tasks on a dashboard, from registering an ad and adding funds to having creative reviewed and checking initial results.

Park Woo-sung, Naver's advertising product build lead, said the company would use AI to help every advertiser achieve practical results. In July this year, before this revamp, Naver introduced Ads for Me, which uses website and Smart Place information to identify a business category and advertising goal, then recommend suitable ad products and budgets.

Naver Ads brings campaign analysis and improvement suggestions, diagnosis of ads that are not being shown, and step-by-step guidance for novice advertisers into one advertiser center. Naver plans to expand Ads Assistant beyond its initial search-ad support in stages and said it aims to help all advertisers achieve results. Advertisers can review and apply the recommendations themselves, while First Ad Guide tracks progress from ad registration through the first performance check. The revamp also aims to improve convenience for small businesses with little advertising experience. Ads for Me, introduced earlier this year, recommends products and budgets based on website and Smart Place information, business category and advertising goal.
