Noahlogy and AVEVA Partner on Ship Design
- •Noahlogy signed a partner agreement with UK-based AVEVA on November 2, 2026.
- •The companies are testing data reading, visualization and design checks using AVEVA 3D models.
- •They aim to develop practical support shaped by shipyards’ and design teams’ needs.
Noahlogy, which develops AI services for the maritime industry, announced on November 2, 2026, that it had signed an AVEVA Partner Ecosystem Member Agreement with UK industrial software company AVEVA. The companies will develop and test ways to work together, aiming to put ship design support using 3D CAD data into practical use.
Ship design teams check the shapes and attributes in 3D models alongside drawings and specifications, comparing them with design requirements. The information is extensive and varied, so reviews require substantial time and specialist knowledge. Noahlogy is developing AI technology to handle design information and make designers’ review work more efficient.
The companies are now testing technology for reading and visualizing AVEVA 3D model data and making decisions against specified checks. Noahlogy says it has already created a demonstration using a 3D model.
Noahlogy plans to test, one by one, which types of data and review items AI can assess accurately, with the aim of fitting the system into routine design work. It will continue testing against the practical needs of shipyards and design departments handling large, complex projects. Noahlogy says the work will expand AI options for shipyards and design teams that use 3D CAD by helping them make use of existing design data. The article also notes that generative AI was used during production and that the editorial team is responsible for the content; this is a production note, separate from the partnership announcement. No timeline for practical deployment or performance figures were announced. Noahlogy will continue testing with AVEVA 3D models.
