Nvidia Unveils DSX POD AI Factories
  • •Nvidia unveiled DSX POD modular AI factories at GTC Berlin to shorten data center deployment.
  • •Nvidia says prepared-site deployment could fall from six months to as little as 14 days.
  • •Global shipments are planned for 2027, with systems built alongside 18 named hardware partners.

Nvidia launched DSX POD AI factories at GTC Berlin to shorten the time needed to deploy AI data centers. The modular systems are integrated and validated before delivery. Nvidia says its reference design can reduce deployment at a prepared site from six months to as little as 14 days. The site still needs to be prepared and have power available.

DSX POD integrates computing, networking, cabling, rack-level power and liquid cooling during manufacturing. Nvidia says completing that work upfront will reduce the need for specialized labor, planning and construction at the installation site. The modular factories are also designed to use a smaller footprint.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang presented the launch in his GTC Berlin keynote, arguing that producing tokens faster leads to more revenue. He said the design brings factory-built precision and speed to infrastructure construction, reducing deployment from months to weeks so customers can scale capacity and bring revenue-generating production online faster. Nvidia said DSX POD systems will ship globally in 2027.

Nvidia is working with hardware partners to ship the systems, including Anduril, Armada, Bull, Crusoe, DayOne, Dell Technologies, Delta, Eaton, Foxconn, GIGABYTE, HPE, Lenovo, Pegatron, Quanta Cloud Technology, Schneider Electric, Vertiv and Wistron. Other GTC Berlin announcements included the OpenShell Reference Architecture for AI agent safety, additions to Nvidia’s open model portfolio, and partnerships with Nokia, European automakers and neoclouds.
