NVIDIA Expands Industrial AI Across Europe
  • •NVIDIA’s FOX factory operations blueprint enters GitHub early access for developers building machine-coordinating agents.
  • •Siemens estimates FOX agents could save 20% in costs and cut inspection calibration time by 40%.
  • •Industrial simulations reported speedups up to 40x at imec and 12x at Infineon.

NVIDIA says European industrial companies are using its CUDA-X and Omniverse libraries, along with the Cosmos and Nemotron open models, across engineering and manufacturing. The NVIDIA Factory Operations Blueprint (FOX) is now available in early access on GitHub, giving developers a path to build always-on factory manager agents that coordinate machines and specialist agents for visual inspection, root cause analysis, report generation and fleet management. The agents can connect to frontier models and to computer-aided design, product lifecycle management, simulation software, and IT and operational technology systems. FOX-based agents can monitor operations in real time, compare visual findings with machine logs, investigate problems and coordinate responses. NVIDIA says Cosmos in-context learning lets agents adapt from examples and documentation without fine-tuning.

Siemens is integrating FOX-built agents into Intelligence Center X to identify root causes and coordinate factory operations, with estimated cost savings of 20%. Siemens also uses NVIDIA Cosmos Data Factory tools and skills in Process Preparation X to generate defect images for circuit-board inspection. At its Erlangen electronics factory, that approach cut inspection-process calibration time by 40%. NVIDIA is releasing its cuDSS simulation library for general availability at GTC Berlin. Mercedes-Benz uses Siemens Simcenter STAR-CCM+ on NVIDIA GPUs for faster aerodynamic comparisons of vehicle designs, and applies Cosmos 3 and the Metropolis VSS blueprint to vehicle inspection and windshield-assembly verification. Cadence is benchmarking automotive fluid-dynamics workloads on NVIDIA GPUs. Autodesk is adding NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo and Warp frameworks to NavPack, integrated with Autodesk Alias, to help Bentley designers predict vehicle performance and iterate using simulation-trained AI.

In semiconductor simulation, S-Litho benchmarks on imec’s model showed up to 40x speedup; Infineon reported a 12x speedup in 3D breakdown simulation for next-generation power devices using Sentaurus Device and NVIDIA CUDA libraries. Leonardo is working with Neural Concept on AI-driven aircraft design using Omniverse libraries to combine aircraft geometry with aerodynamic simulation results. Automakers use Dassault Systèmes’ LEO and AURA Virtual Companions, powered by Nemotron, and CATIA and SIMULIA AI agents with SIMULIA solvers to design and virtually test vehicle doors before building prototypes. UniversalAGI and Saab use physics AI models and NVIDIA Warp to evaluate thousands of wave conditions and headings in real time instead of days, helping vessels select safer routes. PhysicsX and Britain’s America’s Cup team are working on AI-powered yacht design, while Fermioniq’s Sofia agent helps Deltares and Dutch ministries model river flow by turning natural-language requests into Warp simulation solvers. Mistral plans to use CUDA-X, Warp and Omniverse to accelerate physics simulation and generate training data for engineering AI models.

NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac libraries support digital twins and robotics simulation so manufacturers can evaluate production systems and robot behavior before changing factory floors. Audi tests battery-production concepts in an Omniverse digital twin and is working with Dassault Systèmes and Agile Robots to simulate mobile humanoid robots and logistics in DELMIA virtual twins. Schaeffler is integrating digital twins of humanoid robot actuators with NVIDIA Isaac simulation frameworks so robotics partners can assess component behavior and reduce physical testing. Wandelbots uses NOVA with Isaac Sim, Omniverse and OpenUSD to validate assembly workflows digitally and prepare them for physical robots. Falkor is integrating agents and Omniverse libraries into a platform where spatial intelligence combines engineering data, operating information and 3D equipment geometry for inspection and maintenance across process and energy industries. Schneider Electric and AVEVA are developing an AI factory digital twin for Nscale to compare power, cooling and equipment configurations before physical changes.
