Palette Launches Korean-Language AI Campaign
- •Palette launches a campaign promoting K-AI’s understanding of Korean context and user intent
- •The service aims to deliver results from everyday language without complex prompts
- •New sign-ups receive 600 free credits; Palette is planning a public subscription plan
AI platform company Palette said on the 2nd that it had launched the public campaign “Don't Prompt, Start Palette,” promoting K-AI, which it says understands Korean context and user intent. The goal is to provide desired results through everyday language, without requiring users to write complex prompts. Palette said its platform focuses on generating responses suited to Korean expressions and cultural context.
Palette is carrying out a project led by the Korea Creative Content Agency, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to develop AI agent-based technology for Korean cultural interpretation and multilingual subtitle generation. Palette also claimed that a study conducted last October by natural language processing company Systran rated Palette AI’s Korean-language understanding higher than that of foreign AI services. The article did not identify the comparison services or provide details about the study’s methods.
Palette CEO Lee Jong-geun said building an ontology (a structured representation of concepts and their relationships) based on emotional understanding specific to Korean culture is important for accurately understanding Korean speech and writing. He said the company aims to develop AI that understands the emotional context in how Koreans speak, work and build relationships.
Palette plans to publish a campaign video on its official YouTube channel and expand user participation. It said people who register on its official website will receive 600 free credits, and that it is planning a “national pricing plan” program to make AI easy for anyone to use.
