  • •Pricefx and Databricks plan to integrate enterprise pricing tools with the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

  • •A free notebook will test margin leakage on demo chemicals data in about 15 minutes; further agents are planned in coming months.

Pricefx announced a partnership with Databricks to integrate its Enterprise Pricing Intelligence Platform with the Databricks Data + AI Platform. The planned integration will let manufacturers and distributors manage pricing, optimize deals, and identify margin risks and opportunities using commercial data already held in Databricks. Pricefx says the connection will give customers a governed path from that data to pricing decisions and business value.

The companies plan three independently adoptable milestones. Pricefx Data Connect for Databricks will discover tables through Unity Catalog and feed Pricefx price lists, quotes, and approvals on a schedule or on demand, without a custom build; Databricks remains the system of record. Pricefx Zero-Copy for Databricks, listed as coming soon, will keep data in Databricks and let Pricefx applications use pricing-ready lakehouse data through zero-copy sharing, avoiding duplicate copies, synchronization delays, and reconciliation while tracing each decision to its source.

Pricefx also plans to offer pricing Agents and a Pricefx MCP app through Databricks Marketplace. Analysts will be able to ask Databricks Genie about margins, price waterfalls, and deals using Pricefx intelligence in their workspace. A free Try-me notebook will use demo chemicals data to find margin leakage in about 15 minutes, and users can then run the same model on their own data. The Margin Leakage Agent is to be followed in the coming months by Cost Pass-Through, Deal Outlier, and Price Realization Agents. The agents will run in customers’ Databricks workspaces under Unity Catalog governance; only recommended actions will be sent to Pricefx for approval and execution.

Across the three milestones, customers will retain the Pricefx experience for Price Setting, Quoting, Rebates, Agreements, AI-driven Price and Deal Optimization, and connected pricing Agents, while IT keeps centralized governance, security, and access control in Databricks. The companies say using trusted, current enterprise data can reduce or eliminate complex pipelines and data transfers, shorten implementation time, lower implementation costs and complexity, and reduce ongoing operational work associated with custom integrations and duplicate data stores. They also say the integration extends existing Databricks investments into pricing and margin management and gives Pricefx agents governed business context for pricing recommendations.

Pricefx CEO Ronak Sheth said customers could start by connecting data or run Pricefx natively on their lakehouse, without custom integrations or waiting for stale reports. Jason Pohl, Built-On CTO and Founder of Databricks Labs at Databricks, said the partnership brings AI-powered pricing to data that remains under Unity Catalog governance and offers a path from insight to action.
