Sakana AI announced its enterprise Sakana API Platform on October 27, 2026, and began accepting applications for early access ahead of general availability. The platform lets customers use Sakana AI large language models (LLMs) in apps and systems through an API, while centrally managing members and usage fees by organization or workspace. Because it uses an OpenAI-compatible API, existing apps can connect by changing their endpoint.

The platform provides an interface for using Sakana AI models and products in enterprise operations, alongside administration tools. Sakana Fugu and Sakana Namazu had previously been offered as APIs without management features; the new platform lets organizations manage access rights and usage. It also supports settings and usage monitoring by team and environment. Sakana AI says the same system can serve small teams and large organizations.

The first models available through the API will be Sakana Fugu and Sakana Fugu Ultra. Sakana Namazu and Sakana Fugu Max are planned for later release. Sakana Fugu is an orchestration foundation model that combines multiple leading models into configurations suited to different workloads, based on the Trinity and Conductor research accepted at ICLR 2026. The Fugu lineup has three versions: standard, Fugu Ultra, and Fugu Max. Sakana AI describes Sakana Namazu as a Japanese-focused model offering intelligence suited to Japanese context at an accessible price.

Management features include a console for organizations and workspaces; centralized management of members, API keys, and usage; role-based access control; and audit logs downloadable as CSV files. The data handling terms state that input data will not be used for training. The platform also supports budget limits and invoice payments, and Sakana AI lists MSA and DPA agreements. The company plans to expand features, including more granular permissions at the organization level.

After reviewing applications, Sakana AI will contact applicants individually. Customers whose preparations are complete will be invited in sequence to use the program before general availability; pricing and usage terms will be provided when they are contacted. The announcement says images of the management console are illustrations using demo data and may change without notice. Sakana AI also said it is recruiting people to bring products such as the platform to customer workplaces. The company has not disclosed when all features will be available. The application link is on its announcement page.
