Samsung launched a beta version of its AI-powered Samsung Health Assistant in the U.S. on July 22, 2026. The tool is integrated directly into the existing Samsung Health app, providing users with personalized wellness guidance and health-related recommendations based on a knowledge base validated by physicians and certified health coaches. The assistant synthesizes data across five wellness pillars: sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vitals.
This launch follows the company's broader strategic expansion into digital health, which included the acquisition of Xealth last July and new partnerships with Lark Health and Neuroscape. Samsung executives state that the assistant aims to bridge the gap between infrequent clinical visits by providing actionable health insights through wearable devices and smartphones. Hon Pak, M.D., senior vice president and head of the digital health team, noted that the system serves to deepen user understanding of personal health and support early detection efforts.
By connecting daily wellness metrics to clinical workflows, Samsung intends to eventually integrate consumer-generated data into electronic medical records. Future development plans for the assistant include enhanced goal-oriented coaching and more personalized interactive responses. The rollout represents an effort to transition from passive monitoring to active, AI-driven guidance for daily health and lifestyle decision-making.
