Syndigo announced a multi-year strategic partnership with Microsoft to develop AI-powered commerce solutions and sell them through Microsoft’s global sales organization. The solutions will integrate Microsoft Foundry, Agent 365 and other services. The agreement advances Syndigo’s Frontier Commerce vision: using AI to apply brands’ and retailers’ existing product intelligence across physical store shelves, online channels and AI shopping experiences.
Syndigo, a Microsoft global independent software vendor (ISV) partner, provides commerce data infrastructure to more than 15,000 brands and 3,500 retailers. John Boos & Co. and Ken’s Foods are among the customers using both companies’ services. Syndigo CEO Simon Angove said trusted product data is the foundation for applying AI in commerce. Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Enterprise Partner Sales Stephen Boyle said combining Syndigo’s product intelligence with Microsoft’s cloud and AI capabilities could help brands and retailers create customer experiences.
Under the partnership, Syndigo plans to integrate Microsoft Azure cloud and AI services with its commerce data infrastructure to offer a product data platform, AI-powered workflows and a global commerce network. Its Product Experience Cloud (PX Cloud), which includes master data management, product information management and syndication capabilities, runs on Azure, allowing brands and retailers to manage product data within security and compliance standards they already trust. Syndigo AI Services for PX Cloud help teams create, enhance and move product content faster, with people reviewing AI output before publication. Syndigo’s network connects more than 15,000 brands and 3,500 retailers so product information stays complete and consistent in stores, online and in AI shopping experiences.
Ken’s Foods uses product data managed in Syndigo’s product information management platform as a trusted foundation for AI initiatives it is developing with Microsoft for emerging AI-driven customer experiences. Its vice president of IT, Matt Latour, said the partnership gives the company confidence as it responds to changes in consumer-facing AI and agentic shopping. John Boos & Co. has improved the operational efficiency and governance of its product data management, which the company described as a requirement for agentic shopping. Its CIO, Britt East, said the combined product information, master data management, cloud and AI capabilities provide a stronger basis for working more efficiently and preparing for future needs. Syndigo is also adopting Microsoft 365 E7, Microsoft Copilot and Microsoft Agent 365 across teams including product, engineering and go-to-market.
