TigerConnect, a clinical communication platform provider, has integrated new artificial intelligence capabilities into its system with the launch of TigerConnect Scheduling. The tool is designed to automate complex workforce management tasks for healthcare providers. Key features of the new platform include AI-automated scheduling, real-time AI-generated gap detection to identify coverage needs, conversational workflows, and intelligent assignment logic intended to balance clinician schedules automatically.
Peter Stetson, M.D., chief medical informatics officer at TigerConnect, stated that the platform aims to reduce the time clinical managers spend on administrative scheduling, allowing them to refocus on patient care and team leadership. He noted that the technology shifts clinical operations from reactive, last-minute scrambling to proactive gap management. According to the company, the platform has already been adopted by organizations such as Connecticut-based Hartford HealthCare. Ajay Kumar, M.D., chief clinical officer at Hartford HealthCare, emphasized that the tool serves to streamline operations and reduce administrative burdens in an increasingly complex healthcare environment. Founded in 2010, TigerConnect currently serves nearly 6,000 healthcare organizations and supports over one million care providers.
