Grok Imagine is xAI's image and video generation tool powered by the in-house Aurora engine, which uses an autoregressive approach — predicting the next pixel based on previous ones — rather than the diffusion method most competitors use. Version 1.0, released in February 2026, generates 10-second videos at 720p with native audio — background music, sound effects, and dialogue produced together with the video in a single pass. It offers two selectable modes: Speed for fast, high-volume iteration, and Quality for generating four high-fidelity images at once.
