Typecast Voices Reach 20 Million Characters in Vrew
  • •Typecast AI voices reached 20 million characters of cumulative use in Vrew just over a month after launch.
  • •Neosapience supplied Vrew with 53 Korean voices for video production.
  • •Vrew lets creators adjust voice emotion and intensity; Typecast’s own service offers more than 700 voices.

Neosapience said on November 3 that Typecast, its AI voice synthesis service, had recorded 20 million characters of cumulative use just over a month after it was supplied to VoyagerX’s video-editing service, Vrew. The companies signed a supply agreement in mid-September, and Neosapience provided Vrew with 53 Korean voices commonly used in video production.

Vrew is a video production service that supports automatic subtitles, text-based video editing, and AI voice generation. Creators can choose voices such as dialect-speaking characters or ones reminiscent of Santa Claus to suit a video’s tone. They can also adjust emotional expression and intensity to fit a scene.

Typecast’s own service offers more than 700 AI voices and supports Smart Emotion, a feature that automatically adds emotion to match the flow of a script. Neosapience CEO Kim Tae-soo said creators can use Typecast voice technology in a production environment familiar to them. He said the company plans to work with a range of content production services to broaden the use of its AI voice technology.

The partnership made Typecast voice technology available within VoyagerX’s Vrew, where cumulative use reached 20 million characters in just over a month after supply began. Neosapience provided Vrew with 53 Korean voices and offers more than 700 voices on its own service. The companies signed their supply agreement in mid-September.
